After a session in SSE, I frequently get a message that Questviewer has crashed, and a file is being saved.
I usually ignore this message, as it has no consequence to the game and the dmp.file is of no importance.
Lately I noticed that all these dmp.files add up to quite a lot. Is there a way to not automatically have them saved? Now I regularly have to manually delete them..

I think it's best to avoid the crashdump being made completely.
Can you attach a DxDiag here?

Here it is..

Looks all fine to me. Can you try installing these redistributables?

You can try to install both the 64 and 32 bit version.

It may have worked, Mr Robville.. Will report if otherwise.. ;)

Fingers crossed!

Alas..the after-game questviewer crashes still occur.. :-\
Perhaps I should run the game as Administrator, or try a compatibility mode for an older Windows version?
-
You can try that.
Alternatively, try to uninstall Nvidia PhysX and reïnstall it again.
The latest software can be downloaded here: http://www.nvidia.com/object/physx-9.13.1220-driver.html

Running as Administrator doesn't work, still the same problem..
And the driver you suggested is older than what I currently have installed..
Seems my only option is compatibilty mode to an older version of Windows, that may work..
Or else I must make a habit of regularly cleaning up my dmp.files.. :)
Here is such a dmp.file:

I checked the Compatibility mode the game was running on, and for some reason it was on Windows Vista.
I changed it to Windows 8, which I have, and so far no more questviewer crashes.. (knock on wood) ;)

Good to hear
I reckon that anything that has something to do with Vista is a bad thing. :P

Yes..The curious thing is I have never had Vista. I went from an XP machine to a Windows 8 one.
It must have come when I installed Extremes on my new computer with my 'old' disk.. :)
