Title: Avoiding fog and mist
Post by: Martin Mahle on October 14, 2014, 22:31:19
I just realized an amazing thing:   :o
If you're driving in a scenario with fog or mist and you change into the bridge view modus, you can point the cursor onto the binocular or an engine stick or an engine switch (whatever is available) - and then the background can be seen absolutely clear.  8)
And this works in all missions with fog or mist.

I'm playing SS2008 on a machine with OS Win7 and with the SSE Quest Viewer replacing the original one. In this configuration, the fog doesn't disappear in the bridge view mode, stupid ...  :o

I remember I had this as well when I first played SS08. If I'm correct, one of the patches should have fixed that bug.

Please see some pictures from my today's play of "urgent cargo", which are showing the difference.
The first two showing the start position, the second two the position after leaving the port and the last one was made at re-entering port on the southern entrance (Thanks, Traddles, for this advice!  ;) )
