Step one: get rid of Internet explorer (Improves security by 9000%)
Step two: Get Firefox or Chrome with adblock plus
Step three: Download Peerblock and use it with sketchy webpages
Step four: Be careful what website you visit and be even more careful what links you click.
Step five: Live a virus-free life  :2thumbs:

That should do the trick.  :P

As for the virus, this seems to explain how to get rid of it:

Thanks Mr Robville. I may not have the virus on my computer.
I already have Firefox and ABP.
I also have WOT, and it is their warning in a seperate tab that I keep getting that the site is untrustworthy.
Needless to say I do not visit the site, but click away the tab..
It pops up each time I start my browser. It's a bit annoying.. :)

Ah how I love viruses  :P
Use norton or something which checks downloads
Get everything from a reliable site like Download.com (don't bother from download.com - the amount of rubbish I got there recently from downloading one app was so bad it took me 2 hours to remove it all), iTunes, windows App Store or the safes place you can

To get rid of any virus, boot your PC with a liveCD which contains a virus scanner program. For example the Kaspersky Rescue Disk which can be downloaded at ftp://devbuilds.kaspersky-labs.com/rescuedisk/updatable/kav_rescue_10.iso (http://ftp://devbuilds.kaspersky-labs.com/rescuedisk/updatable/kav_rescue_10.iso). Use a special diskburner like CDBurnerXP or PowerISO to burn a bootable disk from the downloaded ISO-file. Or install MalwareBytes AntiMalware from https://www.malwarebytes.org/ (https://www.malwarebytes.org/) and run it while in Safe Mode of Windows. Make always sure that the malware definitions of any antimalware program is up to date, before checking your system for viruses and other malware!

I tried, but it didn't work. Also my AV full-scan (Norton Internet Security) couldn't get rid of it, neither could Malwarebytes.. It's more of a nuisance than a threat. It keeps trying to get into the system, but I don't allow it.. :)
