As far as I know, in free roam there are very little places to tie up a large vessel like Ocean Star. I just put her alongside and use the anchor, doesn't have the same efftect but better than nowt' ;)

The best thing to do is to make a "dummy" mission with the editor. Find where you would like to moor up your ship, then place the bollards to do this. Then choose a spot to put your ship and having done that, save the mission, do NOT upload, then open your mission & sail her to your mooring and tie up. As the meercat says, "Seemples"

Angus.

Didn't think of mentioning that way Traddles, so thanks. I have done that in the past, the only issue I find is that the mission editor can be quite slow and irresponsive, but a good plan none-the-less!

It took me only 5 minutes to make the little thing in the pictures. I can't say I've noticed the SS2008 editor being slow, but the SSE one is very, very slow. ::)
