Here you can post all ship simulator extremes videos you upload....
I begin with this...White Marlin at Dover:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DU_-Xad996A (choose 720p resolution) :2thumbs:
-
I have some on my YouTube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/duluthbro/featured
They're a bit old and laggy so keep that in mind. I also have some real life ship videos if anyone is interested.
-
nice YouTube channel, but you should upload ship videos too

Wow Rbsanford that was very realistic! these train simulators are getting better every year. LOL
-
Yeah, they're making a new route: Pacific Surfliner from Los Angeles to San Diego. It's their highest detailed route to date.
And I'll probably make a ship sim video, but I'm low on ideas...

two vocabulary questions...what "overdubbed" and "mu sac" mean?
-
I think he means he didn't like the music. He suggested that you just use the ambient sounds. It's a great video, nice job with the docking! But I have to agree with sydmichel, the music is a bit unnecessary. And I think you should have continued recording until you were fully moored and the ramps were down. Good job though! :2thumbs:
-
I use ezvid and with this recorder user cannot record the game sound...in addition the song's length must be as the video lasts...differently the song is repeated again and again.
So, I can't do something about it... :-\
-
You should check out Fraps. It costs $37 (USD), and not only allows for in-game recording with the actual audio, but you can also use it to take screenshots and narrate your recordings. You buy it online and it simply downloads. Here's the link: http://www.fraps.com/

thanks for the information Rbsanford

'MU SAC' is a term not used much any more, but it was used to describe unwanted annoying music that was played (normally too loud) in supermarkets or in elevators or when someone was put 'on hold' on the telephone, if you get my gist.
-
yes, but before press "dislike", see this post...

GeoP17, you are a funny boy, do you realy think that just because you can not create a video with gamesound it is a reason to not 'dislike' the video?
With Your describtion above of the video(where you tell about the length of the song and the video), so is it not a SSE-video you have done, it is a music-video with SSE pictures. This is at least how I look at it.
-
I have just ereased the video from youtube...I'll upload it with another song sometime.... :P

Quite possibly the American spelling, They do like to use 'Z' in place of an 'S'. I use a British English dictionary.

Here's a British English dictionary site: http://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/british/muzak?q=muzak ;)

Touche!
But hang on a Minuit, you said it was "Muzac" now you are spelling it "Muzak".
How about this one: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=musac It looks like we have gone full circle.

This "Undocumented Game Feature" is nothing new.
Who remembers the Ship Simulator 2008 Marseille mission "Prisoner Transfer Puzzle"? Written by MvSmith, it takes advantage of the very feature discussed above.
Apologies to those who have not completed that mission for the spoiler.
-
it would be great if a SS08 player would upload a video of this mission
-
Here is PART of the mission. :-X I am giving nothing away so that if you want to play the mission you will have to get it!!!! The first part has a prisoner and guard being picked up from Chateau d'If, where the Count of Monte Christo was confined. After mooring the police launch then player must find out for himself what to do next.

Looks very nice, Angus.. I think I'll try it sometime.. :)

Check out my new video! Pride of Rotterdam at Rotterdam port! I think it is one of my best videos as I spent a lot of time editing it! I was recording for over an hour and the final result is just 19 minutes! I hope you'll enjoy it! Don't forget to subscribe for more SSE, Virtual Sailor and of course real life videos
