Nice set of gear!
I just have a standard cheap ass rod with multiple hooks on it covered with cotton. Works perfect for mackerel  The A/B's on our ship just fish with only a line and a few hooks on it, they don't use a rod at all :) Besides that, they also use a home-made pod for crab fishing ;D

I got a new reel, Abu Cardinal Sorön STX 20 :D. I ordered it on Tuesday and will come on Friday or Monday. It cost 159 €.

I use a PENN Commander Pro 30 LW reel with a Shakespeare Tidewater BOAT 30 rod. The first time I used it I caught my very first Skate!

We catched this little fellow at a depth of 50 metres on the Egyptian coast among some other, more friendly, fishes. If you reel them up too quickly from that depth, the fish will burst because of the sudden changes of pressure.

Nice ballast id sure like to fish there but i cant even catch a halibutt...

Once I caught one of these rotten little suckers in one of the great lakes...

Ive always wanted to catch salmon but i heard you have to pay for it in norway (for fishing on rivers) that true?
-
Larsdehaan, in most areas you have to buy a permit which allows you to fish in certain lochs and rivers for the season. This is one way to stop overfishing and trespassing on land.

Thanks!
by the way you ever noticed if you forget the dot in T. hanks you get thanks?
