Title: Ship Simulator 2006 - Controls
Post by: henedu on February 14, 2011, 14:33:45
Hi there,
my up/down arrow keys works fine, but only null or full.
i cannot change the rudder/throttle positions set by the mouse, one notch at a time.
pressing the up-arrow gives full ahead, releasing it the throttle will go to the null position, no positions in between.

i have the same problem with the left/right arrow keys .... ppff
can anybody advise me in this ? The paper manual nor the game-help gives a solution ...
Support advised me to use the Shift-key.....no results whatoever

As I recall, some SS08 ships have 'sporty' controls (i.e. full or null as you described) and others have 'standard' controls (i.e. incremental, notch-by-notch).

Small ships such as the Powerboat and the Water taxi have sporty controls, whereas larger ships have standard steering.
