CONSTANTZA PORT

The Port of Constantza is located at the crossroads of the trade routes linking the markets of the landlocked countries from Central and Eastern Europe with the Transcaucasus, Central Asia and the Far East. It is the main Romanian port and it ranks among the first 10 European ports. The favourable geographical position and the importance of the Port of Constantza is emphasized by the connection with two Pan-European Transport Corridors: Corridor VII - Danube (inland waterway) and Corridor IV (rail-road). The two satellite ports Midia and Mangalia that are located not far from Constantza Port are part of the Romanian maritime port system under the Maritime Ports Administration SA Constantza coordination.
The Port of Constantza is located on the Western coast of the Black Sea, at 179 nM from the Bosphorus Strait and 85 nM from the Sulina Branch, through which the Danube flows into the sea. It covers 3,926 ha of which 1,313 ha is land and the rest of 2,613 ha is water. The two breakwaters located northwards and southwards shelter the port creating the safest conditions for port activities. The present length of the North breakwater is 8,344 m and the South breakwater is 5,560 m. Constantza Port has a handling capacity of over 100 million tons per year and 156 berths, of which 140 berths are operational. The total quay length is 29.83 km, and the depths range between 8 and 19 meters.
These characteristics are comparable with those offered by the most important European and international ports, allowing the accommodation of tankers with capacity of 165,000 dwt and bulkcarriers of 220,000 dwt.

Currently, there are several projects in progress, in order to build new facilities for cargo handling and to improve the transport connections between Constantza Port and its hinterland. These projects are mainly located in the South part of the port

by the looks of it sketchup, although i think he used delft-ship or some similar program for the last few models, the hull is way to good for sketchup (or atleast in my experince)
nice models to!

hello danny
Sorry to contradict you, absolutely all models are created with google sketchup.
I'm not bragging, but if you learn you can create beautiful things with it.

For each model I worked ~8 hours per day and about 5 days. I  create so many models in one month since I worked simultaneous 2-3 models .

When I started working with google sketchup  I wanted to show my superiors with a simple program that can create great things. After the first two models I convinced my superiors to buy me  professional version of the program, because I use these 3D models  to build scale models.

Yeah, I love the Big Foot 1. It's something what I would like to see in SSE. Its like a massive work horse mansion. Would be happy if I can move it around at no more that 10knts.

thanks
I work with the greatest pleasure for SSE to be able to introduce several models in the game more realistic, like cargo, oil tanker, offshore.
examples: the GSP saturn oil rig could be brought into play as active a model that you can draw and settle the position with an animation platform to get up as the real one.
I see the vstep does not want to create a game  much more realistic!

hello Third Mate

Bigfoot is really a very impressive ship.
besides that is an active vessel is equipped with 6 azipod motors.speed of the vessel is about 5 knts, when installed pipes speed is 0.1  knts.

three models are found in pictures
2 Oil rig and ship Transporter.
We created these models to help my colleagues to see and to establish a transport two platforms with vessel TRANSPORTER.

old animation
part 1- lifting steel jacket

We simulated  lifting the jacket and putting on the deck barge Bigfoot 2.
``The steel construction was loaded out and sea fastened onboard the semi-submersible barge GSP Bigfoot 2.
The 101 meters long  & 1300 tons steel jacket``

*in first picture you can see the real operation.

I'm glad that there are passionate about great things.
The corect name of the floating crane is gsp neptun, but is no problem.
in my opinion would be inserted an option or a chapter in SSE ,to include offshore vessels (ahts DSV, PSV, oscv etc), cranes, platforms ,barges etc.
