Title: ship sim extreme thru steam

i got sse thru amazon.com usa and installed the game but 2 my surprise it needs internet connectn after connecting to net it logged on2 steam and the game tuk about 2 hrs 2 get installed via steam now ven i clik on play icon the game jus loads n loads 4ever its bin more than 2 days with this strenous effort but all in vain --i jus cant play it --and y does it need net connection though its bin installed.
can i not install the game without this steam rigmarole.
i m sure the game must b fantastic but this steam thing suks big tym
so if ne 1 hs ne thing that cd help me play this game ..plzz drop in a line
