VSTEP is a young, innovative and rapidly growing software company.  VSTEP develops professional training simulators for nautical colleges, emergency response teams, train drivers, safety officers and others professionals. Apart from professional training simulators, VSTEP also develops PC simulation games, like the popular Ship Simulator series.

VSTEP is introducing Nautis (http://www.nautissim.com), a new line of cost-effective maritime training simulators, scalable from desktop versions to 360-degree Full Mission Bridge Simulators at maritime training centers. These products combine the best quality graphics with the most accurate ship dynamics simulation.

To strengthen the team, VSTEP is looking for a:

Maritime Simulator Instructor

You will advise clients, often International maritime and naval academies, about the proper use of our simulators. You help with the installation, provide technical support, and conduct on-site train-the-trainer courses, often in countries outside Europe. As the primary liaison with software developers, you will provide suggestions on improvements, assist with testing new versions, and help write documentation. You will also advise the sales- and marketing team with the product positioning and preparing client proposals.

Job requirements:
•   Maritime study at Bachelors level
•   Experience and passion for maritime education
•   Deck License (3rd Mate unlimited )
•   Professional sailing experience and experience with training simulators is an advantage
•   Ability to work well in teams
•   Enthusiasm and Initiative
•   Good communication skills in English
•   EU passport is needed for trips to customer sites

You will be working in a team of mostly young and enthusiastic people. Your workplace is in the heart of Rotterdam, The Netherlands, with flexible working hours. You will need to travel to training centers abroad for local support and installation regularly.
