Title: Game stops at startup loading?

I bought the boxed steam version in the store today, installed, updated via steam. now when i try to start the small loading window opens and stay there. The red box is moving but nothing more hapens. I waited for 40 minutes. There is a window that opens in the background ""ChannelLinker.dll"

I've tried to run "Unregister.exe" as well.

Have you rebooted your pc after the installation of SSE?

I have this problem too I installed my game and then rebooted pc like it says and I noticed that it freezes on loading screen for some reason. Do you know  if there is any way to fix this annoying problem besides control alt delete and task managing it all the time? Please let me know thanks

Have you tried the advice in the tread "Game still not starting after patch 1.2" (just now in the end of tread page 5 in this forum).
It is basically about install this three files that can be found in the Steam folder (he shows you how).

dxwebsetup
Physx ....
vcredist ..


searchway as follow:/steam/steamapps/common/ship simulator extremes/resources/redist.
 

For me that had similar problems it fixed the problem ot once (with a reboot after).
