On when pre -orders are going live. I sure hope it isn't after release date.
If it is after the release date, then technically it isn't a pre order...
I think the general feeling is about two weeks before the release date...
But that is neither:
a) official
b) confirmed

Someone somewhere posted that a person with the publishers of the game (Paradox?) said that the standard procedure with preorders for Paradox games is 14 days before launch. As much of a rumour as youll ever hear, but it doesent sound too far fetched.

Well i HOPE that is true!
Then the release date for the pre-order should be: 10.08.2010
I hope that is true, i can't wait that day anymore!!
SSE is making me crazy, i want to play it, to sail open seas, and to explore the new features/envirorments/vessels/other.
I hope i'l keep up just these less than 20 days.

Well, I just hope the pre-orders go live soon (next 7 - 14 days) or else it won't be much of a PRE-order. xD

Well, one hour before the release it is still the pre-order ;D
But i need to hope it will not be like that! ;)

Last night I read someone writing that the official preorder date was august 2nd... ???
Edit:
Yesterday evening I did send a contact form to Vstep concerning this question, Today got the answer: Pre Sale is starting @ august 2nd.
