Hi All,

I think it would be cool if you could make PA Announcements over your ship via Microphone on SSE? Do you think this would be possible?

Instead of sound effects actually being built into the game, I sometimes play sounds in media player (radio sounds etc.) in the background.

Depends on the announcement, the one about the bar closing in 5 minutes usually gets a reaction, and you all already know my one about Canberra leaving Sydney on her last world cruise.

Just plug a microphone into your computer. You need to keep the volume low to avoid feedback.

Some ships do have a microphone among the stuff on the bridge; you can shout into it.

An announcment could be: "I am sinking"..!
If the other players are German, they might reply: "What are you sinking about ?"   :D

That clip always makes me chuckle, even though you only have to look at these forums to see that most Europeans speak really good English, much better than most people from English speaking countries can speak any other European language.
