I'm positive I spotted Frank in that screenshot! With all due respect, it sort of looks the same!
And another thing I noticed about Ocean Star,
Where are the lifeboats!! Does this mean since they are all gone we can operate ALL the lifeboats on OS! wow!
And looks like We can definately launch lifeboats, as seen from the Esperanze, her RIB is missing and is in the water.

Looks Great!
-
My BABY MY BABY
I love my ship YAYYAYAYYAYAYAYY SO EXITED They look BEAUTIFUL
-
Guess what ships bridge this is
(http://i50.tinypic.com/168j1xz.jpg)
Its the one and only Rainbow Warrior III
(http://i46.tinypic.com/tasdcl.jpg)
I counted the windows and matched up things on the bow so it was obvious
-
I see they yet moved the release date. The release date is now: August 27, 2010. And that person on the bow of R.W.III, it must be your character from walkthrough mode. I see he wasn't on the bow of Rainbow Warrior III when in the bridge, meaning we have person models for people to see, and to make ships seem populated. And seeing lifeboats can now be launched, I hope to see PoR's lifeboats launched, and maybe Titanic's if she can be in Shipyard for free (Hopefully).
-
Yes, also you can see the sailing equipment and sails trough the windows. ;D
Nice bridge too! Looks intersting!
That with launching lifeboats LOOKS GREAT!
I remember someone has suggest that, only few members support that idea, i was for that too, THAT'S VERY COOL, you can anchore outside the port and launch the lifeboat to go on shore, it looks that suggestion becomes and realism! I hope!!
These new pictures, just make me more interested in, i can't wait the moment to start sail all those great places, harbours with that exotic an intersting vessels!!
Don't you think like that? ;D
The "Ocean Star" is a little bit changed, or just i'm seeing it like that???
The yellow/orange/pink stripes are now blue/purple/white???
It looks somehow different, I CAN'T WAIT THE PICTURES FROM THE "OCEAN STAR" BRIDGE!!!!
The "Marabella Delight" with the new exotic red color, looks very nice...
Kind regards.

August 27, maybe they got it wrong??? Well we'll know when Vstep Tells us so, when the release date is on the Website ill trust them but tell now i still think its the 24th
-
Quite impressing pictures!
But again, I'm afraid that you need a supercomputer to run the game smooth with many details.
And then I'm interested in a few other things:
- Will harbours and ships be illuminated at night? In my opinion this is much more interesting than launching lifeboats. Everybody, who has been at the sea at night, can tell that there are lots op light everywhere - it least near European coasts.
- Will the programme support multiple processor cores? In version 2008 only ONE core is running at full speed, the other(s) one(s) is/are idle. Since the game is from 2007-2008 i don't really understand why. I believe that this is neccesary, if my computer shall run the game properly.
- Will the ships doe this strange elevating movements up and down again, when you/they get closer? People laugh at the game, when they see it. And I find it strange, too.
Because of these doubts I will have to wait for a demo version.

look at the top of the cabin... looks like fuel will be a issue in SSE ? If so.. awesome.
-
Also wouldnt be cool to use that Radio Box's to Talk to other players
-
And if anyone didn't noticed, Titanic is there too :P

Maybe. Maybe not.
Uh, Did I just say something that was kinda against Titanic? :-X
I also kinda noticed on the Bora Bora Red Marbella Delight picture, we will have refractive water!

We have them in SS08. They are called passengers, and can be placed in Mission Editor. They do not represent the location of the camera in walkthrough.
-
Look at the picture of the Bridge of RWIII. You see he ain't on the bow. But a pic viewing him in orbit view shows him. Noticed that?

Hi guys,
E3 is going pretty well, lots of interest and great feedback for our game. FYI, I'm posting regular updates on our Twitter page, so if you want to stay up-to-date to what we're up to at E3, that's the best way to do so.
P.S. I'm not the passenger/crewmember in the picture, although I could be, handsome bloke! ;D
P.P.S. The release date is double, so there is an August 24 release for EU, August 27 for US.
E3 day 3 coming up...
Take care,
Frank
-
Hehe lol Thanks Frank I will take a look at the twitter
For anyone else who doesn't know... http://twitter.com/shipsim
P.S. I'm not the passenger/crewmember in the picture, although I could be, handsome bloke! Grin
Yes I just thought as the passengers in ship sim 2008 are developers I thought you might be making an appearance yourself! ;D lol
Kind Regards

Thanks for letting us know the European Release and American Release Frank. I see both release dates are three days apart. And that is a short time period. ;D And I can't wait for a new trailer of SSE in motion at E3. I think it will be the bestest Game Trailer yet to come. :)
-
Thanks for letting us know the launching date and the update of SSE, Frank but i find these delays is going a little far if you know what a mean. :) But i could wait, i hope.
-
maybe the lifeboats can only be used in the campain, and not multiplayer, it would be cool if we could though.
but, having fuel would add realism to it, but would prove a burden on multiplayer. maybe, we could have moving parts on other ships like a stern ramp and bow doors for the PoR? :2thumbs:
-
POR doesn't have any bow doors :P
A moving stern ramp would also mean the interior of the ship would have to be modelled, unless you want to lower the ramp and see a tunnel of blackness
-
forgot about the no bow doors  well, thats what u see on the upper car deck anyways, plus if u look in the misson editor, the interior is partly modeled.
-
I wonder if you can do continuous navigating like going from england to New york?
-
I dont think so that would mean a huge game! like in FS where you can just keep going and it loads as it goes along i doubt it but it would be nice
-
I wonder if you can do continuous navigating like going from england to New york?
I can see it now the first mission takes 3 weeks at 24/7 to complete.
People would get bored if that were to be the case really quick.
-
lol well i think the trip 24/7 would take 5 days if on the QM2/ Ocean Star
-
check out the latest trailer from SSE at E3 :2thumbs: :2thumbs:

Very nice... Well done!

It is hilarious - well done Frank

well done

but, having fuel would add realism to it, but would prove a burden on multiplayer.
Most ships have enough fuel for weaks. So if you would like to play multiplayer for weaks non-stop, then it will be a burden yes. ;D
I allso don't think you have fuel meters in real life on the bridge.
On small ships you have them, but not on big cargoships.
Some cargoships even still have to be measured manually with a plummet (or plump bob) in the bunkertank.
So I wonder if fuel meters will be available on every ship.
