I pre ordered ship sim extremes and can't identify how many ships there are. :-\

Well, that's because nobody knows.
OK, Vstep knows. They're not going to tell you yet. Not until they have finished making the game.
There are a lot more than 20 vessels. You don't need to make polls to get your point across.

A word of advice. Cancel the preorder from Amazon, and wait till Vstep release the official preorder system. That way, you know you are going to get the game (there have been several issues with Amazon not even being able to get the release date right) and you can get extra features for preordering officially.

Nah, the VSTEP servers are safe and free of malware or viruses. It's cheaper to get the download aswell, since you don't have to pay for shipping.

Might I point out, Dman, that a guess, is nothing more than a guess. No one here has any accurate idea of how many ships are in SSE, anyone's guess is completely a guess. (Those who do know how many vessels there are aren't allowed to say anything)

Just a quick heads-up.
You can only install Ship Simulator on one computer at one time. If you want to run it on a different computer, you have to either uninstall Ship Sim from the first computer, or buy a second copy.
I like the boxed version too, but I don't have to pay much for shipping. The download version is a good option though, as long as you keep the email they sent the download link in (I would save it in Drafts)

If you log into the main shipsim.com site, it gives you the link to your downloads. I have the downloaded version for NH and SS, also the Furie and Elbe - handy if you wipe the computer and start from scratch - less discs to add to my mountain-like collection :doh:

i was emailing back and forth with the developer frank, and i was asking him about release dates because they havent released it for pre order like other games do, months in advance, and he said the way paradox interactive does it, to expect pre orders available 2 weeks before the game comes out.
also: why wouldnt the game be available for download off of shipsim.com the day it comes out?
