hi im a biigg fan of ship sim 08 on the ship sim multiplayer can you talk to other players on the radio i heared you can but i dont know if its true or not ,,, on ship sim 2010 they should let us talk to eacother and calll up the harbor patrol to enter the docks

Am I the only one who gets a virus warning whenever I log onto Ship Sim Radio? Thats the second time i've gone on it now, and the second time i've got a warning..
What antivirus software. i use Avir Free, but currently . im using my pc with ss08 installed. and it has Norton Internet Sec. 2009 :'( :'( :'(

Welcome to Ship Sim Radio!
Run by (currently) 6 presenters, Ship Sim Radio has become a big hit with those who listen, and with it’s success, we hoped that we could broaden our audience to the general Ship Sim Community; as much work is put into the radio itself - be it the website, the forum, or the broadcasting itself!!
For a vast period of time, the Radio has mainly resided at IJTS (www.ijts.co.uk); however, we are all very confident now, as presenters, and feel that we can bring you the quality that you deserve, as the listeners! And the ones who make it worth it!!
So, Who is Ship Sim Radio run by?
Ship Sim Radio is currently run by 6 members, all of which are members of the Ship Sim community ‘at home’, so to speak!

So…Since this is a radio, and you’re broadcasting music which is obviously copyright; do you have a licence? And have V-STEP approved you?
Yes. Ship Sim Radio has a licence which was kindly funded by the Creators Forum! - Ship Sim Radio also faced rigorous ‘testing’ by V-STEP, and, was approved with flying colours! - Since V-STEP approved the radio, it has also grown, and everyone who broadcasts has gained confidence! - So we hope now, that we can deliver a professional, clean show, to all listeners.
Are there different shows? Or does every presenter broadcast the same sort of music?
Certainly not my friends…Ship Sim Radio is extremely diverse in the music it plays, and each presenter has their own particular show. These range from Country N Irish, to Electronic 80’s…to even to the Spanish themed show, Siesta a fiesta!!
Where can I find more information about show times? And any other questions that I have?
You can find most (If not all!) info, including a time table for the week (Which is updated every 7 days), at www.shipsimradio.com; Radio presenters are also willing to answer any questions which you may have, too!
I’m still not convinced…Where’s the proof!
If you still aren’t convinced about our radio station, here is some user feedback kindly given to us by Mike (Aka, ShipAddict), who runs the monthly magazine, and has taken a great interest in the radio.
‘ShipSim Radio has given me many hours of entertainment, right from the beginning when I listened to After Dark with LV to now, where I listen to Mark, Jake, Oliver, Matt, Jack and sometimes Gareth. The shows are varied and it’s great to be able to hear music from different people with different personalities. The radio really has gone from strength to strength since first being founded, and it’s a credit to those who play a part in it!’
We hope that you’ll have a great time listening to our shows, and that you’ll enjoy listening just as much, if not more, than what we enjoy broadcasting to you!!

The transmitting server is the weak point at present :( VSTEP actually have very little to do with the station, other than as it says up there they have given us their thumbs up :)
But the music license was original bought by the team, but the Creators Forum helped us out with a generous donation!
Things are now starting to progress forward both within the team and outside of the team, with new shows, more air time and a better variety of music.
Well worth spending a few hours in the evening listening too :thumbs:

We play a wide variety CaptainSpencer, and house/trance music too.
But what we normally have is a schedule with different themed shows, but we need to reorganize that.

We have successfully updated our Listen Live feature! This is a great step forward for the radio as a whole. The Listen Live feature has been transfered from our previous service to a new service, which has meant that we can now have the player embeded into the webpage, cutting out the previous nasty advert filled pop up window. This new feature offers up a brand new improved and intensively interactive chat window, which means that you can interact with the team whilst they are on the air! The new service also allows users to listen via other media players, such as windows media and itunes, which will help to broaden flexibilty and reliability within our software, and make it more adaptable for you, our loyal listeners. Let us know what you think of our new improved Listen Live Feature by directly contacting Mark or Gareth via any means, or by management@shipsimradio.com.

alot of work went into this prank and was going to do more re the closure and all that haha
It actuly started off about 10pm last night with those who were in the Chat Room wich all lead up to this mornings 'closure' message on the website with me stating that I had been on a call with the other Management Team and had got fired and that due to major issues we would have to close the radio station but were trying to solve the issues there was quite a big discussion in our chat room on this and trying to 'save' the radio station (TFM!!!!)
TFM will agree with what was being said, and infact he actuly did beleve us in the chat room last night haha poor TFM
So no, I have NOT been fired and still with SSR, and SSR are still running, and planning next year april fools :evil:
Can we fool TFM again as well as everyone else hmmm lets see what we can think of :captain:

yep! (was out),
The idea was to do a ccc for Shipsim Radio, so that owners of an Ship Simulator licence, can send in music, and you let it hear in a (for exampe once in certain time) special ShipSimulator owners composed and made material.
If that would be possible, the next step could be combine the best music on a CD, or it could be implemented as a music radio sound add on, for many people that are out of the busy area, turn on some music on long trips.
It is just an idea, and sure, I hope my music is good enough for that, but even if it is not, I think it is a reasonable idea. Write a disk and label it is no big deal, best is to register that at Buma, so that the legal owners and musicians all can count on a fair share.
Mad_Fred seem to play music, so I was even thinking of a shipsim band, but that might be difficult to organize.

Most people have their own dvd and cd writers, it could also be offerd as image file (iso), ready to burn, in that way you leave the costs at the customers side.

You see some of my music is still free, but most is already in hands of the big bad BUMA STEMRA.
Since it is at Buma, my music is ignored by the music industry, not because it is bad, but because of its political charge.
I sung protest lyrics against Balkenende and Zalm far before the crises was a fact.
Reason to ask about the music is/was: we can use any extra income to maintain our foundation.
And as you know, if you don't ask, you never get an answer :)

Dear Ship Sim Radio Fans,
A few months ago SSR started a massive project for a overhaul of our website which brings a new website hosted on our own hosting server.
We are now very pleased to let you know that our project has now completed and as of today we can let you all onto our new site!
This was planned for the 1st October however, we feel that as the new site is now ready and as well as that running well we will let you all see our new site!
