Hi guys, i was browsing the web on Amazon.co.uk and I looked for SS:extremes and it had a relese date!!!!!!!
The date was 19 Febuary 2010 at a prise of £24.99, availiable for pre-order! :2thumbs:

Any infos there regarding the time of release on 19.02.10? I would like it to be released between 14.30 & 16.25!

If I can remember, SS08 was to be released in mid 07 as SS07 but VSTEP postponed it to be too late in the year where they renamed it 2008 just to improve SS08 with correct depths. SSE was to be SS10E but the 2010 was dropped and this is VSTEP's second traditon; Even year numbers (2006, 2008, and Extremes[2010]). :thumbs: Can't wait for SSE to release ;D

Date aside, I like the look of that £25 price tag. I've spent a lot of money on games recently, and there's a couple more I want to buy before next summer, so to see Extremes being priced that low is damned fine. :)

No you can't.
The contents of the Super Packs have never been released previously, with the exception of one mission (Solent Summer). Everything else in the Super Packs has been specially made for the packs by the various Creators (Artship, DesHealey, Hugh Gammom, LucAT, Matt, SadSid & myself).
Each of the horn sounds has been especially created by me for the Super Packs.
Each of the radio packs has been especially created by me for the Super Packs.
Except for a couple of lighting packs (Red Jet 4 and two of the three for PoR) that are from Schiff-sim, all of the lighting packs have been created by me for the Super Packs.
All of the new controls have been specially created by LucAT and myself for the Super Packs.
All of the new dynamics have been created by LucAT and myself for the Super Packs.
So, although you can find some similar things on Creators Forum, you can't find these ones. And in some cases, there is nothing like them on Creators Forum. I do release the missions on Creators Forum after the Super Pack releases, but not everything else.
And there is a lot of other stuff on Creators Forum that will not be released in the Super Packs. :thumbs:

If I can remember, Titanic was schedueled to reach NY on April 18th, and Carpathia Arrived April 19th is what I think. So SSE might be coming out on Carpathia's day of reaching NY with survivors.

Well, only time will tell. I'm gona keep wait till the day then see if it has been released. I personaly think that VSTEP would develop a add-on pack for it, like they did for the other games. Amazon do seem to do that quite a lot. I often see them advertising things that I know cannot be released when they claim it will be. That seems dubious to me, at best...
But it is Amazon who make the claims, not the authors or suppliers of the books or software, etc.

I'm going to guess that somewhere in Amazons website terms and conditions it does stipulate (page 666, paragraph 13) that any release dates are purely fictitious and bear no resemblance to date past, present or future.

The best thing to do (in my opinion) is to just try and forget about an exact date unless VSTEP give one that is definite.
That way when it comes it's a nice surprise and no one gets all uptight about it not being released when VSTEP said etc :)

OK. More seriously, no matter what you may hear from anyone, nobody and I really mean nobody, knows exactly when Extremes will be released. With complex software development such as this, there are aims but never any guarantees.
Just keep watching for announcements and enjoy the weekly Super Packs in the meanwhile. They will continue until Extremes is released. Of that I am certain!

What difference does it make?
At one time they thought it was going to be then; now they think it might be in April.
They will, sooner or later, probably think it will be in June.
My guess is that there is no way they can deliver it in an acceptable condition (few bugs) before Q4.

That's why I hope SSE will be released at the end of 2010.

Personaly i dont want it to come out to late in the year, i like a game that will come out on planned release date, i mean the SSE Summer 2009 Release date was crazy Vstep just released SS just a year from that mark, but the Q1 2009 i like because its giving them 9 months ontop of the summer release date so about 2 years but Q2 2009 is even a little late if it was Q2 it would have to be april because later than that just is way to long to wait, i know all of you want a bug free game but the reality is that thats kind of imposivle.
Vstep has posted about Q1 January, Febuary or March. On Vsteps website its says that once the release of SSE Due in Febuary we they might look into Ship Simulator: Inland and after Ship Simulator: Combat Edition, do you guys not notice that vstep is adding most of the addon vessels into SSE because im sure theres maybe not going to be a addon maybe a few for some spare stuff to keep us wanting more

Well im sure Fred knows alot of stuff we don't know about SSE but I'm sure he would like to tell us but can't, anyway antartica scenery just seems like open ocean with icebergs everywhere but we've realy only seen to pictures so I hope there's alot more to it! :thumbs:

The thing i just cant help but laugh is there is a heli deck on the back but theres a mast overswing that covers the helideck so how the heck is it supposed to land

I was just starting to have some respect for mmmmmmmmmmmmm (sorry- is that spelled correctly?) as he has posted some useful things lately.
It wouldn't matter, but these pictures have been around for ages and everyone has seen them. It is deflecting attention away from the important areas of the forum, such as the campaign for Dover - C[cut]

And with the greatest of respect to Fred- someone who has put an awful lot into this forum (as well as had to take an awful lot out of it (dodgy posts!)) I think he is wrong.
Recent posts have shown that... However the Dr is about somewhere, so hopefully he will see this and either A) cancel all his business plans so that he can be here 24/7 or B)Talk to Fred.

With all respect, you don't need to explain how the Goderating system works. I think it fair to say that there are less Goderator-hours per day now than at any time I have known the forum. And this isn't in any way a criticism of you Angus, Dr, Dave M, anyone else I've forgotten.

Haven't read all the posts relating to this topic but be careful. Amazon cannot tell me if their pre-order will include the bonus ship and missions that is included in VSTEP's pre-order. Amazon's pre-order is available now but, unless I've missed it, VSTEP are still saying pre-order available soon.
If anyone knows the date pre-order will be available or if the bonus is included in Amazon's I'd be pleased to hear. All Amazon will say is that they are not offering any bonus.

I think tis now both the 27th for the US and Europe. If the 3 days behind for the US still stands, its a release date of the 30th August for USA.
