Post by: martu on May 13, 2009, 15:23:08: Hola,no english,yes spanish,me presento en este foro del ship simulator,soy argentino y en unos dias tendre el SS08 Expansion New Horizons,ya q esta les queria hacer una pregunta:Se necesita el juego original para jugar online o se puede jugar con el trucho tambien saben algo?,si no me entienden pueden usar el traductor de esta pagina http://ar.babelfish.yahoo.com/

If you're asking if it is necessary to buy New Horizons to play on internet, the answer is no..
You can play on internet with the normal Ship Simulator..

This is the English forum after all, and we wouldn't want to make a habit out of such things. No biggy though, good of you to help out!

But from what I think I undestand; Martu, you need a legal copy of Ship Simulator 2008, to be able to play online, yes. An original version indeed. Having New Horizons will broaden the choice of servers and vessels, but it is not required.

In English guys, pretty much translates Fred's above post, with a request for him to private message me for more translation help, as this is the English forum. Sorry if I broke a rule speaking Spanish Fred, I was just trying to help, I didn't see a Spanish forum ;)

Yes, you need the original game, updated with the most recent patch (v1.4.2) to be able to play online.

You also need to register your SS08 license key in your forum profile, to play online. And you must also make n account in the game itself, the standard 'guest' profile cannot be used, you have to make your own.
