Quality did'nt improve. Fraps makes good quality, crystal clear avi files, the problem is that YouTube doesn't convert avi. So I have to convert it to mp(e)g first, and there goes the quality, down the drain.

Unable to convert avi there? That's strange. I'm uploading different avi's there and haven't got such messages.  ???

What if you put your original avi file in to MS MovieMaker & then save it as video (2,1 MB/sec)? Should work ok as it'll be wmv file & in my case after uploading it there I get a HQ option to my video on Youtube
Ahoy Diamant,
Thanks for your advice. I'll make a new movie shortly and will try out. I did it with another ovie, but it seems that the wmv file is even more compressed then the mpg file. Would that not made the uploaded file even worse of quality?
Regards
Aad

You could try changing the file extension of the original .avi. ;) Dont know how well it would work, if it would. ???
