Title: UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME
Post by: NathanC on August 15, 2008, 09:50:12
Hi all, i restarted my computer a couple of days ago and a blue screen came up with a message saying the coputer had been shut down to prevent damage.

At the top it said the cause was UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME and every time i start the computer it comes up with this. I can't get into it as this screen just pops up every time  :-\

Any idea how i can resolve this?

Thanks

P.S, this is in Small Talk because the Tech support section is for SS2008 related problems (??)

Nice to hear NathanC ;)
Thanks Captain Best - i'm glad it's all done now.

DerBandit - it was caused by corrupted files which are used duting the boot up of your PC. It was solved by putting the XP Recovery Disk in and repairing the files.
