Pieter Bolen has written an 84 page report on the workings of "Zuiderdam", a vessel very much of the "Ocean Star" type.
In this report, he goes through the entire workings of the ship, covering things such as
- Layout
-Hull,
- Bridge,
- Engine Control Room,
- Engine Room,
- Passenger and Crew accommodation, etc)
- The functions of all personnel from Captain, through all officers abd crew including Hotel and Hospital functions
- A complete breakdown of all equipment
- A description of the work of Maritime Officers in the Deck Department and Technical Operation and Technical Maintenance Departments
Once you read this, you'll have some understanding of the complexities of a large vessel. Well worth the read!
You can download this report from the "Freebies" section of the Creators Forum. This is a large file (6MB+).
Pieter, I REALLY enjoyed reading this. Thank you!

Hi Denis.
Yes I saw the application and processed it straight away. It is a most fascinating report. I really would recommend it to anyone who is interested in how a ship functions.
I believe Pieter produced this as part of his Officer training on the vessel. I trust he got an excellent grade for this!

There was an artical in spectrum a while ago about Azzi pods, I'll try to find it to scan it. ;)
