Does anyone know what sort of seaplane it was that featured in the film Murphy's War (other than a wreaked one)?
-
I haven't seen the film, but it must have been a Grumman J2F-6.. ;)

Ive been attacked by a plain similar to those in SH3. Shot it down. It was one of the last biplaned made. ;)
-
I've seen some pretty neat bi-planes near Nantucket MA. I'll find some pictures.
-
I saw that land at Dulles airport. My Grandpaw was managing the rebuilding and upgrading of it
-
Landing a tail dragger is a hard thing to do, How'd he/she do? :)
-
very very good. and if he didnt they would have had to get a new one for the museum. They landed the SR-71 blackbird too my fav plane
-
I've so far stood next to 2 SR-71 Black Birds. :D
Every air museum I go to I make sure I see one if they have one, I've touched a real retied Concord too. ;D
-
This is the one I spent the most time with in Washington DC.

i have pics of the one i saw. I was able to see it when it taxied in when my and my grandpaw had to go to the new control tower. Yea Dulles airport is next to the Smithsonian. They didnt let me touch it cuz the plane was over 500 degrees
-
They didn't let me touch the concord either but they left the nose down when they were last working on it. :P ;D
-
did it just land or was it in the smithsonian
-
As you can see in (not my) picture they had recently aquierd it and brought is through the doors in the back ground that are also in the picture. but yes it was in the smithsonian-Air and Space.
They have a private runway to bring planes on and in with. ;D

If i remember correctly that is the new building
-
It most certantly is. Have you been there before?
-
quite a few times to visit my grandpaw last time i went they where just starting on it. I wish i could go now but gas for my truck is way to much to go 300 miles. 125 dollers to fill up
-
Getting back to the first question, I think the plane was known as the Grumman "Duck"
One of my favourites in FSX is the Grumman Goose.. ;D
