what do you guys think of that episode? i like the tests in the pool. they were cool. but why weren't they sucked under with the boat but Adam was pulled down with a 300 pound box?
-
I think it was because the box dropped away much much faster and thus created much more suction in the first instance. That would be my guess.
And that boat, well.. it wasn't exactly a whopper of a ship, I don't know if their findings would be the same if it was the size of an ocean liner. Still, it would not be the same as with that box in the pool though. Different dynamics at work.

the boat was full of water when it went down and it was also going slowly. nothing would cuase im to be sucked under.
-
makes sense.
-
and the larger the ship the more suction
-
i know this myth. its to see if a sinking ship like the mythtanic can pull you under with the sinking ship.
-
yes and i think the larger the ship the more pulling power
-
Apparently the Titanic suction is a myth, one passenger claims he rode the Stern all the way down and simply stepped off into the water when she went under.

i do got the movie "TITANIC"from 1997.you know the one with Jack and Rose
