as far as i know, the sinking patch will be come out in sept, and probaly with some other fixes.
but can they make a single patch of the sinking so that you already can sink, because i thought that ships could sink (even the rest) and probaly a lot of people feeld themselfs a bit screwed, so how faster the patch releases, how more people don't have to wait anymore for the sinking patch, the other features may come later :)

I do not really care about sinking in the game. I do my best to avoid damage at all. I would rather have the mission editor... or multiplayer... or better dynamics... ::)
What I am trying to say here is that we all want something different and why should you have your sinking patch before I get my multiplayer patch?! Be paitient and let VSTEP use their time on improvements rather than preparing update after update.

I'm sorry to ask, but just suppose ships can sink: you make it sink once, game over. You make in sink a second time, again game over. Maybe a third and fourth time even. Again, game over and game over. Why would you let a ship sink a fifth time? Concequence is that the ship can't sail anymore, so there is no fun as soon as the ship has sunk. Is sinking ships actually a crucial element of the game for you?

<sigh> There is no accounting for the juvenile fantasy, Wout.

I won't bother me to keep sinking, That is what this game is about: realism. Without sinking this game will no longer be a simulation, more of a mere arcade game. So in this case why not let sinking be an appliable setting for those who want sinking, and those who don't. I want it so I would keep the setting on.

good point pmillett22
but, also this was supposed to be planned in SS2008, but is wasn't there so i feeled a bit screwed about that, because not everyone buys ship simulator as a simulator but mostly as a game, and what is a ship game without sinking?, there is no game in the world as were you can walk onboard while the ship founders, and i always wanted to do that.

The patch is planned for the 17th of August. I'm afraid there is not going to be a special patch to make sinking possible. I can't help you any further regarding this issue.

Hey Jack and Rose, lovely weather we're having. lol I would have fun sinking the ship and going on walktrough running for my life :)

This is not about sinking or not sinking. It is about whether or not the sinking part of the upcomming patch should be released seperately before anything else. No, I do not think so! I was promissed multiplayer as well as you were promissed sinkings... Gather it all in a overall patch instead of releasing lots of patches that people mix up... as we have seen several times with SS06.

well, the patch now releases in augustus, so that is a very good point to me ;D so can play the last days of my summer vacation on a sinking ship :D, btw you can also walk on water, so when your ship sinks, you can swim away! ;D ....or maybe not?...
