Title: Knock Nevis
Post by: NathanC on July 21, 2008, 10:49:02
Now that the Knock Nevis (Ex Seawise Giant, Jahre Viking....) supertanker (largest in the world) is out of service and being used as a FSO, does anyone know if she can move under her own power still?

It was given a fresh paint of coat and some anti-rust medication - it needed it badly  ;D

It would be fun to have that as a static object

It doesn't look particularly different because it is used for the storage of crude oil which is what is was origanally built for. ;)

Back to my question - can she still move under her own power as an FSO?

I don't believe so, but it might. :-\

I can't imagine them going through the trouble of taking out the engines. ;)
