how fast would she go?

personally i think thats a bit silly, she won't go seriously fast because she will be weighed down at the stern with those outboards, and at the bow they will probably have some counter weights inside, strapped to the hull.

This is my kind of ship:

Not an inboard.

An outboard is an engine that sits on the outside of a boat, like the original picture in this topic has outboards on it:

-----------------------------------

Whereas this here, is a diagram of where an Inboard Engine sits:

Kind Regards,
Jack.

And here is where a sterndrive (or outdrive) goes.

The advantages are that they can be adjusted whilst in motion, so as to fine tune the angle of the propellor in the water, which changes as the boat lifts up and goes onto the plane.
