I just want to see how many of us can actually go out to the ocean instead of playing ship sim. I'm from Colorado in the USA so the only time i see the ocean is when I travel.
-

A few hundred yards (metres) from the beach, at the Eastern end of the Solent (near Selsey Bill).
Just far enough back that the winter gales don't shower us with shingle as the 40 foot waves slam up the beach.

That must be so awesome!! ;D I love the ocean but the nearest body of water to my house is a tiny lake across the street and the only boats allowed on it are canoes and paddle boats. If you want to find the lake go to google earth and type in Louisville, Colorado, USA and find Harper Lake. My house is right by it.

Even though im not by an ocean i live in Michigan around the great lakes wouldn't that count?
-
yeah I guess that would count. I thing it would pretty much count as long as you can't see to the other side of the body of water it could count.
-
