Hello hynes123,
To create a server, you do indeed need the server application
The server software can be downloaded from the following page:
http://www.shipsim.com/downloads/patches.php
It's on the top of the list.
If you want to know how to operate it, read the guides, which can be found here:

By the way. When you're browsing the servers, the number of players doesn't indicate true number of players to me. I've tried refreshing. I feel quite frustrated connecting to all the servers individually to find some company. Sorry for slipping off-topic.

i dont know why it dose that but i can be anyoing when trying to find a server with people in it

Hi hynes123,
You just grab the top file from the patches page, I linked to, the server application (5MB)
When downloaded you run that. This will install it. You don't really need to change anything, just click through the installer.
When installed, you run the program.
And then. to set up the program, the guide I linked to is really the best thing to follow.
I hope this helps a bit more.

Fred

Hi hynes123 .
You need to double-click the file to run it.
Or, you can highlight it (click on it once) and then press the "enter" key.
Or you can go to the Windows "run" dialog by pressing the Windows key and R at the sam etime, and then navigating to the file.
