Here are the boats, I couldn't find a picture of Ocean Venture but i'll keep my eye's open.

p.s You might have noticed that in the poll I changed Castlewood to Fruitful Harvest as the Castlewood is almost identical to Ryanwood as they are pair-trawling sister ships.

For single-boat trawling I'd prefer the 'Ocean Venture' (but a large pelagic-trawler/purser with RSW tanks would be even better) but the 'Ryanwood' is a pair-trawler which would also be good fun, especially in multi-player.

The third series has just begun to be shown but as far as I know only the first series is available on DVD.

Yeah I watch it on BBC.. Its great.. the last episode they lost their fishing net and they had to recover it from the ocean floor..

Its a great program. :)

It isn't realy a knock off Deadliest Catch, I mean there is a difference betweeen Pots and nets you know.

Yes! that guy was a nutter, all on his own, in that little crab boat, sliding around the deck. Honestly :D

That other guy that captain's Early Dawn, he's a complete idiot, he's already shreaded two nets, and a person was swept over bored and died while he was captaining her, he takes too many risks, i think it was the episode before last, he went out in sea's that were so rough that the big trawlers would not go out in. Yet, his trawler is the smallest in the fleet, and he went out?! he acts like an idiot too.

Unfortunatly I didn't see Trawlermen on wednesday (10th sept.) but I heard that the man on the crab-boat wasn't who I thought it was.

Thats true, but, common sence tell you that you just don't take that risk, there are skippers that have been trawling for years, he should be paying attention to their experience, learn something from them.

Well you would think that there would be a rule that you have to be over a certain age before being a captain an that you would have to prove yourself you can deal with that sort of thing before becoming a captain.

No It's not a movie, it's a BBC TV series. It can only be seen on British TV although it may be available on a website called BBCi player.

the castlewood and the ryanwood do not look alike
there are 2 new twin rig trawlers   the favounius pd17 and  the challenger fr 90 the challenger is a replacement for the new dawn fr 470
 i also live in peterhead thats how i would know all this
