The title is what's commonly known as 'a play on words'. In this case, it's a mix of Lusitania and Titanic ;)

A pun

how would she stay afloat????????????????????????
-
It doesn't
That's if it sank

Just my thoughts, but I don't think that model is broken in two like the Titanic.
As far as I can see, it's probably just made like that on purpose so that you can see the cross-section of the ship and can see the inside layout and the various decks and such.
At least that makes more sense than someone breaking a perfectly good model of a ship in two to imitate the Titanic, right? ;D :P

Yep
I thought the inside was a tad too detailed for a broken model

Were the wine glasses on the bar tables your first clue. ;)
