Is there a way I can turn off Force Feedback in Shipsim 2008 on my Momo racing wheel?? It works in all other games, but not i Shipsim 2008. Using Wingman profile program dosent help. Maybe there is someting wrong with my Shipsim 2008 inst.??
-
sorry there was one word that may tell use why and that is raceing wheel as it was probly not desind to work with this game so before you say there is somting wrong with they game make sure it is not somthing wrong with your pc or this wheel thing
-
What force feedback is there in SS08?
-
sorry but it is a raceing wheel and so at a guess and it is a wild one that a ship game would not work with a raceing wheel
-
Maybe you are right, maybe it is not working with shipsim 2008, but with other games.
-
are the other game raceing games or ones with cars in
-
Yes, but I can't see how this makes a difference when shipsim finds the wheel and i works. I just what the force feedback to goe away, it's to hard to turn as it is now.
Is there other good alternative controllers besides the keyboard and mouse??
-
no not realy there is a shipdriver coming out gods knows when but that looks rubish if you go to

where i have made a thread about vstep makeing a wheel for ship sim to add to the realisum
-
I use a joypad that is quite good because you can program one stick for throttle and one for rudder etc and it is better for the smaller ships than a wheel or a keyboard
-
Now it works better. I reinstalled my wheel, and the wingman software.
-
allthough i'm still not sure it is meant for ship sim but if you got it working ok thats fine
-
Off course it is not made for Shipsim, but it is way better than the keyboard and mouse.
-
if it has pedels like most wheels do now days how do they work on a ship
-
Maybe just like an extra axe, but i don't know, I just use the wheel for steering.
-
Hi guys,
I Use for my shipping experience, a logitech driving force steering with force feedback via a plug and a Microsoft Forcefeedback 2 Joystick for the throttle control. I think it adds more realism and more buttons ;D

speeking of steering wheel can anybody tell me which one i should get!! :)

It is however good fun to use the full 900 degrees of the G25 whilst docking and using the joystick for forward/reverse and bowthrusters... not using force feedback on it though... that way i can just flip the wheel to the left or right just letting it "roll out" so to speak.. like you would yank the wheel on a normal ship (which would have about 3.000.000 degrees of steering.. hahahaha Just watch some warmovies with ships involved.. as soon as they go full starboard or port, watch the helmsman! :D
just doesn't work anymore since i raised my racingseat with a couple of Ikeatables... grinn ;)
No clue what i'm on about.. check this out:
