Nah...you're not hurting me!  :)

They spell some words differently in the UK than we do here in the US, but at least in 2006, when you were in US ports, the harbor patrol boat was painted as a US Coast Guard cutter.

Also, the original announcement said there would be a US version.

Well, if you buy a Uk version, you can probably update it later to a US version.
But ask it first to a moderator.

Ican't see the difference in Us and UK English, but that is beceaus I su** in English. ;)

There is not going to be a US version. On amazon.com the simulator is already released, and quite a lot of Americans have already played the game. No language complaints so far. If you stumble upon any, please let us know.

Greetings,

It's not on Amazon.com, it's on Amazon.co.uk

I'm going to get the download version anyway...so I guess I'll just go with the UK version.

The language itself isn't a big deal...it's small things...like how damage is noted (in Pounds or Dollars), the way the patrol vessels are painted (US Coast Guard or not) and so forth.   I *presume* that 2008 carries over these things from the 2006 version.

Maybe I'm wrong on that?

Yes, you are :)

There is no such thing as damage money anymore, so no pound or dollar difference. Now we have realistic damage, so no more 'indicated damage' by money.

The US patrolboat was in all the versions when you sailed the patrolboat in NY. Not a specific US feature.

Thank you...that was the information I was looking for!
