Learning to be a skipper of a massive ship... by night school. I've seen it all now.
What are your qualifications in ship management? My uncle was an engineer in submarine bouyancy and stabilisation systems, but that doesn't mean that *I* can teach it.
BTW There is no rank of admiral in commercial shipping. You COULD maybe use fleet commodore.
As they say on BBC news... 'and moving swiftly on...'

They never will. I know, depressing isn't it?
-
No im not teaching it all im only a pilot on the carnival victory or first officer
-
Oh right. Good for you. I'd have thought you'd have been boasting more about being the 1st officer of a massive ship than boast about your uncle.
Still, I stand corrected. Good for you. To get to become 1st officer at just 26 is a hell of an achievement. I'm impressed. I think it's good that you can still find the time to run a virtual shipping company as well as complete all your official duties.
-
well it dosnt start tell augest so i have lots of time
-
One more person for admin on this site 4 slots taken out of 5 for being a admin. then the 2 after wil be moderators

Every one theres a quiz on the page and click the link than click quiz and email me the quiz answers if your a member
-
So how do you become a pilot or first officer of a superliner then? And- if I may ask- what made you do so, when you could have done any occupation in the world. I mean, you could have been an English teacher or something...
-
well i love ships my uncle works on a carnival ship so i asked a while back to get a job as a pilot on any of the ships and 2 years later they asked me to be a pilot on the Carnival victory
-
with 2 years training? so what exactly do you do? I always understood pilot to be the term applied to the bloke who navigated vessels into un-known foreign ports.
-
if not me a pilot brought in
-
So you are a helmsman? Thats a respectable job. :) Why not just call it that in the first place.

Because he doesn't want you to know he is just one big fat lie, duh.
-
Personally, I never wan't to be a cruiseship captain.
To much paperwork and allmost no time at the helm.
I wan't to be the captain of a dredger or a tugboat.
such a captain really has the rudder and engines under his control.
-
@MMMM Do you even know what the job description is of a pilot? Or what is the difference between a helmsman and a 1st officer? :-\
@Sam, it doenst matter on what kind of ship you become a captain. Paperwork everywhere :(

OK, well since you've deflated his balloon- of course we all know it's a load of oldseaweed (word changed before the management see it).
I'm afraid to lie properly, you need to know your subject or all you will convince is a fool... Maybe there are some here? Somewhere... Although I've never seen any of course ;)
