Hi all!
Now, we all know that rammers are a real pain and i know in my time on ship simulator 2008 I have been rammed many times, so, i'd like to know how many times you have been rammed!
Maybe people can see these results and understand our situation with rammers more clearly.

I have never been intentionally rammed. I've had a few incidents where I sunk due to "normal" contact, but that's just an unfortunate accident, not ramming. :)

I've been rammed once, but that was by a silly kid who thought I'd rammed him. I explained how things worked, and he apologised and has never repeated that behaviour to my knowledge. He didn't actually damage my ship at all, anyway.
Otherwise, no problems with rammers. I typically use the Rotterdam, New York and Solent environments.

I bought the game yesterday , played multiplayer last night with no problems but have just been rammed twice today by a user.
I had an elapsed time of 2h 30minutes arriving all the way from the south west part of the Marseille environment , then just when it comes time to start travelling through the Passe Nord ... he starts ramming ... its very frustrating.

Can you report this to a moderator, please? Also, its probably best if you edit your post and remove the name of the person concerned in case there is some valid reason for what happened.

Hi Terry thanks for your advice I will report this to a moderator and will remove the username , am not sure there could be a valid reason though because he did it to 3 or 4 other ships before me :(

No problem.
This sort of behaviour isn't acceptable and there is absolutely no reason for anyone to do such things. If we all report such incidents straight away and get them banned for a week, then they may get the idea.

Too long ago to remember the name. He got banned for a week as a result.
But no, I'm sure it wasn't Trains. He always seems a decent chap to me.

No matter how many times you're rammed in a year something still has to be done. ::)

Yep,even i have been rammed ones.
However he started on another vessel(PoR),and i think he asked to connect.I think his question was rejected,and sank the PoR.
Than he came over to me,asked that also atleast 15 times,i also said no,because he was sailing the pilotboat,and i the 'vermaas'.
So there was no point to connect,result...... attack on me,and i sank also.
Untill now that was the only time it happen.

Grinn Marc.. i had that happen to me too.. i should still have the screenies of him blocking afterwards whilst i was beeing towed by a sherpa.. i noticed the little straggler too late and he had already typed a reply that would take a normal person about 5 seconds to type, but he did it in about 0.5 seconds.. sounded like an eleborate plan as i didn't want to play "tow" with him in his puny boat.. still have the screenies on reserve.. (just incase he tried to get ME banned.. hahahah) but haven't played much since...
