Title: Southampton P&O cruise terminal
Post by: BBriscoe on April 09, 2008, 16:00:34
I took the Ocean Star up the Solent into Southampton earlier and up to what I thought was the P&O terminal, however I could not find any moorings for the ship. I had to pull up to the dockside and lower the anchor!!

Is there anywhere to moor where the P&O terminal is?

Cheers,

Ben

Hi :)

You have to add your own bollards in the mission editor ;)

That's great, thank you.

One other question, when you use the mission editor, do you have to manually add every AI ship in the vicinity, or  are there automatically generated AI ships?

My pleasure :)

Yes, i'm afraid you do. :)

But it would be useful :)

That would be a really good idea for a patch - the ability to have AI ships automatically generated even on edited missions.

i take it there's no shortcuts around it? It must take forever!!

Hi BBriscoe,
There are some good technical reasons why auto-AI isn’t practical in missions. If you read the posts complaining about AI, you will see that careful planning of AI is important in designing a god mission.

Making paths and placing ships is not difficult, and does not take a lot of time—after the planning.

Why not try it? Then you will know what is involved.
