i have just bought SS08 and i was amazed by how much SS got improved  ;) ;) but, i noticed that u can never get damage below the water line and VSTEP said if damage below waterline ship can sink but u can never get damage below waterline so that means u can never sink a ship >:( >:(

That's a bit crap. I haven't tried it myself yet but I was looking forward to sinking one.  ???

I damaged a ship 100% and didnt sink.

Icebergs are, as far as I know, only in one mission, that mission is with the Titanic. You start from the Solent, then you go in open sea and the last waypoint is in New York. Only in that open sea are icebergs. I am not sure btw, but it looks so. I think it will take pretty long to reach some icebergs.

We noticed this problem as well over the weekend. We are already working on a fix, which will be included in the next patch.

it is possible to make holes below the waterline:

my damage report was 100% but it din't sank, first the ship begone to hang a bit slant but that was because i dropped the anchor  :'(

btw there is noticed in the new features that ships can sink, but is it not even tested?!

I am now thinking of buying the game and just hoping for the best that I can play it ;D
