I wanna make a vid with ss08 using fraps, only fraps is too cpu consuming and my frame rate suffers greatly Is there another app. which would let me make a vid which takes up less cpu?

You could try altering the Fraps settings, removing sound etc.

That may help frame rate ;)

Hm, I haven't tried night time yet but you've just shown me that the ships don't have lights?  :(

Are Vstep going to correct this?

What do you mean? The screenshots show the ship's lights...  ::)

The ships have lights (at night time) in SS08 even though the aft masthead light on the P&O ferry is illegal mounted...

Running lights yes. But what about the passengers? They must have been eating a lot of carrots!

Allright I see what you mean. Perhaps they all went to bed...?  ;)

Still, I think the priority for Vstep when it comes to lights should be:
1. Ship's lights (running lights)
2. Night lighting on the bridge
3. Deck lights when achored, moored or grounded
4. Passenger lights!

Agreed, but seeing Titanic all lit up in some night screenies would be awesome.

I guess recording would slow it down, wouldn't it. I hadn't really thought of that-thanks! :)

Would turning of the FR display in the corner/some backround tasks improve performance?

Thanks,
Sky
