Title: Fall off the Titanic
Post by: Person264 on March 28, 2008, 17:21:42
I didnt know whether I should put this in the technical or this one, anyway. I was at the front of the titanic, and was walking along the fron plank that leads to the very front on the ship, when, going back again pressing just the left key, i fell of and fell into the ocean! I was dragged away from the ship and i took some photos to prove it. I didnt know you could do this. Unfortunately the game then froze like mine usually does (see "Game Crash" in technical forum). I Think that falling offf the titanic is quite dangerous, could be a glitch but then the sea dragged me away.

Considering how long it takes to put the rudder over, and the long stopping distance of Titanic, the chance that she can execute a Williamson turn before hypothermia does you in is slight.
Best mind how you go on deck.

I feel your pain. I just now fell overboard from the ADF Vermaas. I'm not even sure why. I went to roaming mode and took a look into the stairwell just aft of the bridge. Before I could turn to face the ladder down, the graphics were moving as if I were in a glass elevator, and then I was in the water under the ship. When I changed the viewpoint with the mouse, the ship just sailed right by me. But I was able to reboard by resetting the roaming view with the "0" key. Must be a bug. "Fascinating."

And today I fell off the Fairmount Sherpa. But the good thing, as happened with the ADF Vermaas, I could get back on board by pressing the zero key.

If you go to the Starboard side (not all the way) of the Pride of Rotterdam bridge, then hold down shift and run forward, you fall off, normally falling through the bow.

i have fallen off titanic many times. i also often jump the fowrad boat deck railing next to the wheelhouse as a short cut to the forcastle deck. there are a few railings you can jump over plus you can enter the vandrah cafe and the plm court cafe (both aft on A - deck) and also the starboard b-deck promanade (though only a tiny part of the floor is there and you fall off if you move ahead too far
