Hi All,

Does SS2008 support multiple displays?

Regards

If you use the "Horizontal span" mode in Windows for your monitors, the game will recognize it and allow for dualscreen resolutions.

Note that the system requirements are higher when playing on those resolutions.

SLI.ASUSTeK INC.Striker Extreme mobo. 4X.2048.2048.2048.2048.DD Ramm.
P5-2.6.DC-Stacker case.

2XNVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS Vid.

so how can i use 4 monitors= 4x Syncmaster 206BW.

I wish 3 views and 1 map/chart to be visible.

and is there a promise made to get multimonitor going like i have seen i some screenshots on the SS8000 site somewhere?

Multiple monitors Please!

I know you can do a horizontal span but that only give me a wider monitor. I want a wider field of view using 3 monitors placed at an angle like this  \_/

The software would have to generate 3 separate rendering contexts each with a camera pointing at a different direction. (Similar to MS Flightsimulator)

Another solution which will work is the use of multiple PC's and linking the views through networking. Easy to do and only needs a more sophisticated camera setup.

It doesn't work for me. I setup my second screen. Started the game and it only played on the main screen and left the other screen with the desktop background.

It will only use both if you make it think there is only one  ???  "Horizontal span" makes a virtual screen comprising of both real screens side by side so the game thinks there is one big screen.  If you dont then Windows will only let the game see the primary display regardless of how many you have.

What graphics card(s) do you have?  If you use Nvidia check outh the Nvidia Control Panel (right click on the desktop, it should be listed) and select "Display", then "Change dosplay configuration" an select "As one large horizontal desktop (Horizontal span)", make sure you set the displays to correct order, Apply your changes and Bobs your uncle and SS08 should recognise the bigger display.

The only problem I have with it that in the middle of the display are the edges of the two screens......I wonder if you can have three displays......

Regards

Mark

Run the game in a window and drag the window across all monitors.

You will need a PC with good FSX specs to cope though.
