Title: SS08-Addon-New Horizons download version costs more

Who cares how much more it costs, I've got it now and have just completed a mission. I don't have to wait for the postman or my local 'Games' to get it. ;D. Padstow is great! ;D

i prefer downloading it i have around 3. 1 TB network drives which hold triplicates of all the information on my systems...means that i dont need to worry if i reload my machine or not...everything is backed up...

Post by: sonarman on March 27, 2008, 22:59:12: I'd imagine that the reason the addon is slightly more expensive from VStep is that they/Lighthouse set the retail reccommended price which retailers (Amazon, Play etc) can discount it if they choose. VStep/Lighthouse cannot as it would be seen as unfair to them. However the VStep version is a download, sans packaging so you would think they could make it cheaper due to that, especially since they will make about 3 to 4 times more profit on this by selling direct and not through normal retail channels with all of the middle men that involves (distribution,transportation, retailers cut etc)
