I think it would be great to have some of the irish ferries on ship sim because i love sailing the big ferries well the only one (p&O)
In particular though i would like to see the Irish Ferries - Oscar Wilde
Ulysses
and finally the isle of inishmore (which is a ferry lol)
-

If i new how to make them i would try and do them myself but as im 15 the modelling stuff..... all a bit confusing lol

Well, just another ferry topic! Fine for me, because I'm a real ferry enthusiast, but I would like to have a Brittany Ferries ship instead and hopefully a few miles more from Porthmouth to moor it right!
Cheers

Yes, well any ferry will do, just more ferries in the game lol and definitely more miles on the ports

Correct - and as far as I know, she doesn't wear the white IRISH FERRIES livery until now, her hull is still dark blue up to the superstructure with a white funnel. Must be an artist impression at the picture above... ;)

Hi Bottman
From what you said about the livery "and as far as I know, she doesn't wear the white IRISH FERRIES livery until now, her hull is still dark blue up to the superstructure with a white funnel.". This is correct. The Ship was bought off it's previous owners and then refurbished with a new paint job, well a tidy up anyway. ;D

This guy has got the right idea haha (take a look at where i'm from)
(not saying this because i'm Irish but..) thats not a bad idea, bringing some Irish Ferries ships would be great! but there are many companies you could bring into ship simulator, but i think in this case you have stumbled on one thats really quite suitable to ship simulator. Even though V-STEP are still working on ship simulator 08, i don't think there is going to be much further development, like ships new environments etc. as ship simulator 09 is on the way. Maybe you can pass your idea along to some ship simulator developers, V-Step etc. for ship sim 09 as this sems quite appropriate. Although i would get some advice from one of the moderators here first and see what they think of your idea? i would certainly back it up (not because i'm Irish....well maybe a little hahaha) as it is a good idea in my opinion.
Many Thanks

incredible!they all look exactly the same! :D

What about the HSS also the Fast Ferry to Troon from Larne
The Fast Cat from Larne is operated By P&O
and the good old HSS is owned by Stena and perhaps the Irish sea
Scenery including Belfast and Larne Loughs could be Added
-
Yhh got to have Irish Ferries and the route xD
-
Totally agree! ;D Amazing to have them!
-
Well, you have to ask the ship owner or fleet management, if they are willing to sponsor their ships for the simulator. That seems to be the only way to fulfill your ideas... ;)

The first pic isnt the isle of inishmore, I go on it whenever i visit family in Ireland :D... its a bit of a dump :-\
Anyway i think the irish ferry ships would be good to have on SS08.

I would like the Oscar Wilde on ship sim. Looks great :)
-
Hi,
I also think it would be great to have more ferries on the game. I love sailing the ferries too and a few more would be great!!

Well Dover is in the SS10, so prehaps we will see some ferries that use the Dover ferry port in SS10 aswell. ;)

You will all just have to wait and see what's going to happen ;)

Hi Guys,
I am just after reading the ideas and comments from this topic and was wondering hence I stay in Glasgow Scotland that why doesnt ship sim incorperate Scottish ferry operators like Caledonian McBrayne which are widely known through out the west of Scotland. You also state that there should be Irish Ferries in the game so why not have the port of Stranrear to Belfast route?. These are only a thought
Thanks

wht dont we have fleetwood to larne and heysham to warrenpoint included ones operated by stena the fleetwood to larne and the heysham to warrenpoint is ran by sea trucks cheers dudes :police:

The irish sea would certainly be popular for ferry captains among us simmers. And not only ferry captains but captains of all sorts of vessels. Dredgers, tankers, cargo, tugs..
What I hope in SS10 is that there is a real variety of vessel types, in SS08 it's mainly tugs, and very few ferries.
-
I think that the Holyhead-Dun Laoghaire/Dublin Port would be good as then you get the best of both worlds - HSS and Ferry.
-
Is Pembroke Docks to Rosslaire still on the route, that would be a nice run.
-
What about the Johnathon Swift as I cannot see that FastFerry being on the Irish sea Ferries for very Long as they seem to be More into the Conventional and it Looks pretty Cool and a very nice Craft 8)

you could have the morcambe bay area incorperated and maybe the isle of man in the middle. as round morcambe bay you have a lot of ports and ship yards and oil and gas rigs and terminals. for exapmle barrow morcambe fleetwood.
