Does anyone have a link to the old 2006 Shipsim forum? I tryed the dearch but that came up with no results,and a google search didnt turn up a link either.

thats a nice forum! sorry to be a little bit off topic but i think the look of that forum is nicer than our 2008 forum, would you agree?

I don't agree with you. Personally I think this forum looks much better than the old one and on top of that, this forum is much easier to use not to mention all the improved admin tools. The old forum was very vulnerable to spammers - I don't see the same amount of spam now as I did on the old forum.
However, we're always open to new ideas and appreciate all the suggestions we get. :)

That forum was the first I ever registered on.
I felt a bit nervous to post anything when I saw you and Riki's postage :P

Aah the good old days. Potm(Picture of the Month), Ect, Ect. At the end when we were going to swhich the forums we had spam almost every day.
One thing I realy didnt like about that fourm was the Flordia Orange boarder. :-\
i always wonder what happened to some of the other mods, nvdg researchers, moddlers, Ect

i remember when SS2006 first came out...i was like "ohhh i want it so bad" then SS2008 came out and it was even better...it seems like such a long time ago ;D

That picture of the month,was a great idea.I mis that on this forum,now we have more members,and more different scenery's and vessels.It would be more of a challenge.
If this ever returns,you can better give it a theme:Like this months,we gonna show the (example)Fairmounth Sherpa.Next month it can be another vessel.

i hope that Vstep wants it back in this forum,it was fun.Eveybody did their best to put the best picture into this topic,and wanted to see if they were rewarded for this.
I've seen very good screenshots durring this PoTM thing.

Wouldn't that also be something that we could do now?
We could start a POTM topic. Where everyone could post their pictures.
Just have a period of three weeks to post a screenshot.. only one a person, and no chatting in between, so a topic kept clean by the mods with minimal disturbance.
And then after the three weeks add a poll and have one week to vote on which picture is the best. And then pick the POTM.
And then we place that POTM in a locked POTM image gallery topic, and delete the old potm entry topic and start a new one for the next month.
As a matter of fact, let's do that. :)
