Title: S. Requirements
Post by: Berger on July 04, 2007, 22:55:27
Yes, I know I have posted this in a similiar topic before, but all I got in reply was a question to buy 2 gb ram, so
I'll try again, will this work for the 08. version?

OS: Windows XP SP2
Processor: Intel Core 2CPU - 6400 @ 2,13 GHz (2CPU's)
Memory: 1024 RAM
Graphics: Radeon X1300/X1550 Series - 256mb

I'm about to (pre?)order the game now, but I'm not interested in buying it and finding out that my computer sucks so bad that I cant play it when I install the game or run it on 800/600 px (or something like that) :)

Have a look at www.shipsim2008.com

min graphics spec: 128 mb
min memory: 1 gb

So yes, you should run it. BTW the dual core isn't 2 processors. Its a single processor with seperate cores designed for multitasking. There is a difference;  in theory a dual core is much more efficient than the old 2 seperate CPU systems. (2 cpu spent so much time allocating tasks between processors it defeated itself. I once worked on a FOUR cpu system. Not much faster than a single cpu).

Anyway, look at the 2008 website. It gives you all the info

I'd like to point something out.  Asking again (if necessary) should be done in the same topic, not a new one.

I don't know a great deal about ATI cards, so not sure about graphics, but the rest should be ok.  A little extra RAM never hurts ;)

This topic will be closed as there is already a topic to discuss this.

Regards.
