Hi manden22, and welcome!!
Could you please supply your system specifications or dxdiag, this may help us to determine the problem.
Your dxdiag can be obtained by following these instructions:
Click Start > Run. type in dxdiag and press Enter. You may see a popup asking about WHQL drivers, click Yes/Ok to proceed.
In the window that appears, click the button that says Save All Information, when the Save Dialog box appears, save the file to your desktop. To upload the file here, click Additional Options underneath the reply area and choose Browse near Attach. Browse to your desktop, click the file and click Open.
* Windows Vista users need to press the Windows Key + R to access the Run prompt.
You can then post your reply with the file attached.
Regards,
Fred

okay, here it is, yes i have also noticed that the k-lite and ace mega codec pack screw up things sometimes. Hmm ill try that.. ;D

Yup, checking that out isn't a bad idea either..
also Terry Russell made a great Vista guide for SS08, you can have a look at that too..

At first glance I don't see anything that suggests your pc would have trouble with the game, in your dxdiag.
Though I am no expert...
There might be a slightly newer graphics driver you could try, but yours is not really old or anything.
Your sound driver could use an update perhaps, but that wouldn't cause this problem, I think.

okay, thanks man. I just ordered the full game, so i hope i runs better ;)

lol.. It was caused by k-lite.. Stupid codec pack.. Runs great now though..

My pleasure.. :)
That's good news, I am glad that it works now!!
