Yes it's true they can sink! They can sink!
...Well...under force they can sink.
I decided to messa round with the Ocean Star and trying to get it under the surface. Somehow I squeezed it under the Brooklyn Bridge in Manhattan...well...over the Brooklyn Bridge...and sank it nar the Manhattan Bridge. Take a look here!
Please be sure to read the captions on the pictures. ;D Apologies for the large pictures.
Under the Bridge...

Then over the Bridge...

The Listing Begins...

The East River begins to engulf the boat quickly..
She flips over!
She lists in the other direction
(http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r201/BlueExpressTrainz/ShipSim2006_2007-05-10_17-26-18.png)
The River begins to take her down...
The Ocean Star has fully sank into the River, but wait...
Some great force pushes her up back to the surface!
It's pushing the boat fast! It might be flung into the air!
Oh no...here she goes!
Up...Up...
Up...Up...And...
She flips upsidedown flying over the Brooklyn Bridge! (You tell me if that boat looks like it is in the water.)
After Adjusting on the other side of the bridge, she crashed into the Manhattan Bridge and slowly began to take on water.
She's listing again! I'm surprised they didn't lower the lifeboats!
Oh the water!
The End!
I hope you all enjoyed my experience on Ship Sim 2006. I apologize once again for the fairly large picture sizes. I hope they aren't too much of a burden. Tak care and Happy Sailing.

I loaded as fast as I normally load :O.
Very funny pictures :P Nice work! Flying ocean star! 8)

Interesting that the ship flies! ;D ;D
I managed to flilp the p6 once and it kept merrily driving around, but upside-down.
Cheers,
Michael

Oh by the way, strange the water didn't fall out of the swimming pools!
-
Glad everyone likes! Haha. :-)
Yes! I was surprised the water in the swimming pools did not fall out! Haha
The Ocean Star has been renamed:
Ocean "Flying" Star
8)

or Sky Star :O

Do I see two thruster controls on the ship??? Does that mean it's got a stern thruster as well?
Sorry for the Q. Didn't buy the add on pack

Hmmm. Do I detect a hint of sarcasm there?
If I were all knowing I would be TELLING, not ASKING. As for the high post count, I am bored to death. Someone has to keep making comments to keep the mods busy.
I'm normally using the laptop which isn't really fast enough to run SS properly, so I spend far more time here than playing the sim. Silly really

No sarcasm intendend ;) :)

Actually that's become true of me too, I'm wondering if I should be worried? :D

It would have saved Vstep a lot of time if they just charged £25 for the forum and forgot the game totally ;)
Gustav: I know, just messing. :)

Haha, great screenies! ;D
-
lol u should have shut off the engines so the ship can sink ;D
-
Lol!! That's a hell of a series of screenshots! Nicely done! ;D
-
Nice wheeley. Lol .
-
Hahaha! ;D I had the same excident, but not by that bridge.. :D I got stucked on the bottom on the river in NY.. And when I tried to get the Ocean star free.. :P It suddenly takes of and flew some meters in the air.. :o
-
I was sailing the rms titanic in the version 2006 and i was following the map chart and it tryed to take me into land i tyed to turn her away but didnt succed too close so the ship rammed land at 23 knots and then capsized i have a picture i will upload it shortly and i diod it with the mim speed boat hit a ramp wrong and sunk but kept jumping metters into the air all the way up the port of rotterdam
-
The photos are awesome. I tried sinking the Titanic realistically, but it wanted to renact SS Poseidon when the PoR dragged it down.
-
you do realize this topic is nearly 3 years old?
-
A big cruiseship flying in the air is not realistic. In SS08 you can use the ~fly cheat for flying your ship.
