Title: downloading add-ons

silly question, how do you do it? how do you download the vessel's required for custom missions, i've tried to find it using search but didn't come out trumps.... it says i havn't got that vessel in this version

Yes, some custom missions require the add-on which is only available for those who have the SS2006 add-on:

The SS2008 add-on for those who haven't got the SS2006 add-on, will be available later on.

If you don't plan on buying any add-ons, you will have to skip the custom missions that require add-ons.

For all of the missions that I create (only downloadable via the "Custom Missions" Menu within ShipSim 2008), you will see a logo in the top right for games that don't need add-on ships.
