Title: What types of Ship simulator did you buy

Ordered them all at once and chose boxed versions, as my internet connection was slow(er than usual) and wasn't too stable at that point in time. And it's always nice to have something real to hold in your hand too, of course.

With my new and improved connection, I would probably have chosen download. Cause then I would have been able to get my hands on it faster. ;D ...And no cd's to break or be misplaced..
(or manuals with license-keys to lose. That seems to happen a lot with those typically short-term forum members :P)

Also, I had already decided that trusting my bank details to strange computers is getting increasingly risky. I don't even trust my own *smile*. Cash buys only here. Regards, Brian.

Post by: dharl on January 02, 2008, 10:12:39: Got boxed versions of both SS06 and SS08 from our good friends at Amazon (other websites available too!) Like Fred I like to have somthing in my hand ;)

When i got ss08 i didnt get the addon as I assumed ss08 would have all the extra ships.... So now waiting for the 2008 Addon to come out and hopping that the ships from ss06 (Yacht & Smaller Container Ship) are included! ;D

Why? Downloads are quick and easy in my mind :) I always like watching the little bar saying how far you've got to go :D Don't know why, it's just entertaining :o

I have a friend in Rozenburg NL whom buy to me the newest version soonest are on the local shops and then post me.
Always something in hand too, espicial because I had lost one notebook at last month but still have the SS :D

Boxed: My mom insisted on using amazon so that we could know I would get it...

Download: It wasn't out in the US and it was only a few weeks old so I didn't expect to see it for a while. + I have unlimited bandwidth and good download speeds. :D Only took an hour and a half. :p

1.The boxed version was sold out on shipsim.com and i'm scared of download viruses
2. It's cheaper on play.com ;D :) :P sorry VSTEP...... ;D

Post by: TerryRussell on February 05, 2008, 21:47:30: I got the boxed version from PC World. I was walking past and the box grabbed my attention. I thought it was a Microsoft product.

Having played with it and enjoyed it, I downloaded the add-on pack.

Then I downloaded 2008 version and here I am, still enjoying both versions.

I like this game very much,because i allways liked sailing(steering vessels).I also will buy future versions,to have my collection updated,i would buy the boxed versions.
