Also there is another question to ask i have gone online but what does online mode offer?
Or what can you do online?

Hi Tinie,
You can work your way up to be captain in five differing occupations. If you look into your profile you will see the five listed. :) Soon there is to be a multi-player setup added in which you must be on line to play.

and i also heard that you could walk around your boat but how?
and is there any lights on the boats and is there a key to turn them on?

The ships have navigation lights which come on automatically when it gets dark. To walk around, click on  the "walkthrough" camera which is the 4th one down when you click on the "Cameras" icon at bottom of the screen. then use your mouse to turn to the direction you want to walk, then use you four arrow keys to walk. As simple as that. ::)
