I HAVE LOCKED THIS TOPIC AND DELETED ALL THE PICTURES OF MY MODEL (LINDOS) BECAUSE I WAS GETTING RUDE AND BAD COMMENTS FROM PEOPLE WHO HAVE NOT READ THE TEXT BELOW PROPERLY. I WISH TO FIND A PLACE WERE MY SHIP MODELS ARE WARMLY APPRECHIATED, RATHER THEN RUDE COMMENTS. I SPENT MORE THEN 1 HOUR ON THIS VESSEL AND ALL I GET IS RUDE COMMENTS. I DO NOT DESERVE THE POSTED COMMENTS. NEXT TIME READ THE TOPIC BEFORE POSTING. I TRIED TO DO MY BEST AND SPENT MY FREE TIME DOING THIS VESSEL BUT ALL I GET IS STUFF THAT I DONT DESERVE. TOPIC LOCKED. >:( >:(
Hi People! :D
On my first project to be posted here was the Turkish Inland ferry, Akartuna. It was this topic that made me create the Lindos. I want to thank Luc for the picture.
The Lindos is my fourth ship, with my third being the SS Oceanic, My second being the RMS Vessel and my first being the Akartuna.
INFO:
Name: Lindos
Type: Ferry
Gross Tonnage: 231
Year of build: 1969
Speed: 17Kn
Capacity: 100
Carry: Passengers and crew
I am not so sure about the speed or the Capacity so please do not take them as a fact. However I have heard that the speed is a little less then 20Kn. And it can carry about 100 people easily
Please note:
Please check the picture of the actual ship before you vote in the poll. The Lindos is not a really exciting ship. But is is really interesting! A good picture can be accessed with the following links:

Design offer:
If you wsh to create a ship but is unsure of how to do so, I would be more then happy to create it myself! Just tell me the name of the ship and possibaly a picture. But don't just tell me that! Tell me what you think of the Lindos too!

1. You didn't say it isn't the grandest or nicest to look at. If you can supply a quote I will take that back and apolagise.
2. Why would he not read it before posting ???
3. Look at the Berge Stahl and Elbe projects. There is very detailed models :)
I just wanted to point it out ;)

Deep breaths..
Come on chaps. Constructive criticism should be welcomed, shouldn't it? But be constructive about it, OK?
But the usual repetitive "It's brilliant. Really great" etc that normally goes out to people does not serve to advance you in any way. Quite the reverse.
Each model you make needs to be better than the last. Not bigger or more complex, just more detailed. If on each model you are BETTER THAN THE LAST ONE (even just a little) THEN I'll be impressed. Just keep trying and you'll get it just right. I myself have 20+ unfinished models of a ship and each one is better than the last- and I WILL finish one, one day.

Stu, I’m puzzled by the word “modelâ€. Unless I’ve missed something, all we’ve seen from him so far are Sketchup drawings. A “model†in the context of Ship Simulator would be .3ds files along with textures in DDS format conforming to Pjotr’s guidelines. Short of that, one should simply submit photographs, plans, specifications, and other material of use to competent 3D modelers.

If a ship had that kind of a bow it should not be called a ship. :-X
