Hi,
While looking on koopvaardij.web-log.nl I noticed this picture. It's clearly the ship which was used to design the Agile Solution ship. Just wanted to show you guys ;).

You are right, perhaps could you search the forum for " Deo Volente " ?
Regards,
Luc

Hello Shipaddict ;),
Well, you probably didn't search the forum, but only the subforum or even the thread you were in.
To search the forum you need to be at the "Home" level, not (for instance) at the level
Ship Simulator > English forum > Ship Simulator 2008 > Feature requests and suggestions
where you only search in this part. ::)

Luc

Oh, woops! you've made me go red now. :-[ Sorry about that.
i'll have another try.s

i've searched and it did come up with more. Sorry about that Luc.
-
She has been up in the River Clyde a couple of times in the past few months, carrying large pieces of wind turbines.
it was nice to see Deo Volente sailing past, knowing I've got a ship which looks like her in SS2006 Add-on & SS2008 Add-on.

No...that ship is identical....how come they didn't name it the same then? To avoid paying copyright stuff?
-
There is only one ship from this type yet (they are gonna build 2 more). The owner, Hartman Seatrade, designed it therself, and i think they give permisson (and the blueprints) to Vstep.
But Deo Volente is a Christen name from the Bible, perhaps Vstep changed it keep everyone happy ;)

this one,very look a like
-
Wow, that's close too
-
surely it cant have been built in 2007, i looked on google and the first image is this it says below Deo Volente 2006, i think its ballasts picture but was taken at night also you can see the cranes at work. Also i found a picture of it under construction, the cranes havent been fitted yet

I am sorry, but that doesn't look like it at all!
Other type of cranes, completely different superstructure, funnel at other place, other hull shape.
But still, a beautifull ship.
-
heres one more and a link to the Deo Volente in the early stages ofconstruction, cant put on here because of file size, the picture ive attached is a picture of the ship with 2 boats on it :D, again the cranes at work
http://album.zoom.nl/public_images/3024/pWXXSx.jpg the deo volente under construction
-
that would be pretty cool if we could use the agile solution like that...put two puts onboard and carry them places ;D

I guess you're right that would be awesome, however I don't see it happen in the near future :'( Anyway some more foto's of the deo volente at the shipwarf.
Strange fact: the deo volente can't enter her home port (Urk) because she's to big 8)
-
There are videos of deo volente on youtube..
EDIT: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BTJrKZR_SvQ << That is a good one

Could be but I found this quote on http://www.opurk.nl/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=15003&Itemid=2 (http://www.opurk.nl/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=15003&Itemid=2) (Dutch website):
Urk, de naam van de thuishaven die het 'scheepje', eenmaal afgebouwd, door haar formaat nooit meer kan aandoen.
In English:
Urk, the name of the home port of the 'ship', which finished, will never be able to enter because of her size.

Try this one http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=8hlmotMpCfA&feature=related or this one for onboard view http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=BTJrKZR_SvQ&feature=related

RMS Titanic never entered her home port —Liverpool—and it was never intended that she would.
Deo Volente’s hull was built in the Stettin, Poland yards of OAG GmbH. The engineering was by Vuyk Engineering, in Groningen for Hartman Marine of Urk.
I believe the final construction was done on the IJsselmeer outside Urk harbor.
In addition to her cranes, she also has a swimming pool.

But don't you think is kind of strange for a ship to be unable to enter her home port? At least it doesn't make sense to me ;)
-
some good photos of "Deo Volente" being a little smokey on the Clydesite website (which is now free to access!) http://www.clydesite.co.uk/clydeshipping/images/2009/01/244917.jpg
-
No smoke, no power
-
hmm running a bit rough there, but a nice picture ;)
-
what a beautiful ship! :) Lovely :)
-
I surely must agree with RMSGreatBritain! She's a real beauty, and one of my favourite ships in the game. It's just a pitty that the cranes block your view, but I guess they do that in real life as well.
-
This, together with the Jumbo Javelin, are my two favourite ships in the game - especially having (belatedly) discovered that one can explore the entirety of the ship in 'person' camera mode. Fabulous! :D
